For any that haven't heard yet, CBS Paramount have remastered the effects on the original 69 Star Trek episodes and are starting them this weekend.
In the Portland, OR area the first will be at 10pm Saturday on channel 49 (KPDX)
(Oh and for any wondering what this has to do with Manor, the original 69 is what got me interested in engineering at a young age. So if it wasn't for them, there very well might not be a Manor) |

Well, after seeing it, I have to credit them with staying true to the original effects. To the point you can barely tell any difference 
Really kind of disapointing, they could have done so much going to CG, but it still looks like a model on strings with a slight blue tinge. For cripes sake, couldn't they have made it look a bit more realistic? PLEEEAAAASSSSEEEE |
