yeah well... dunno.
Personally, sometimes I find it convenient to go directly to a room, if Im in the sneaky mood corner
Generally though, and from observing how owners set up their manors... the MOST widely used thing about entry point scripts is prolly not even the songlist or sr thing... but the page trigger, so that especially moderators (depending on if you have paging access turned on for all users or not) get allerted that a user signed on, so that you can greet them and ask them to join, if everybody is inside in some room, which people on manors usually are. The general tendency seems to be to not "hang" at the gate.
as Bri said... well you can go to the gate to boot up any needed globals of course, but then you have to explain that too....
on other hand, few ordinary users knows the room id of any room, just the name, so what we are discussing is mostly for owners and moderators and trusted regulars ... me thinks, and they will know.
