It is no doubt a good thing for the old names to be cleared from the directory. Ordering paying members to do anything even register in this forum seems arrogant to me however. We members or always glad that the owners have these manors and put the money and time into them that they do. Its wonderful. However without the 30 or so members who come on a fairly regular basis there wouldnt be a need for manors. ,,,just a thought ,,,Rawhide |

Morning
I just read the post by Raw......... i think, it was taken out of context......I have been in manor for a lot of years and have never had anyone "order" me to register or sign up for the forum. It has always been a persons choice.... it is a known fact that ppl do not have to even register, let alone sign up for forum.......
My chats with Che have only been about his concern to attract more ppl to manor as their chat venue of choice........... the idea of us trying to promote it , in any way we can cleverly think of , seems to be harmless and at no cost to anyone..........i am willing to participate ..........
Let us know you Danish Delight what we need to do...

Rawhide no one is ordering anyone to do anything, as for registering on the forum…I think it’s a procedure for any forum, once a forum is created, people register to be able to post messages…seems logical…
As for paying 20$ annual fee, it’s a Option not an order, we all have the choice to pay it or not.
I just reread the client registration section where it mentions that Registration is not necessary to use the basic functions of the software. Now as for what manor owners offers as a service to their respective manors, it is entirely their choice...
We are a community and I think its fun get ideas together and put them in motion...

Just a couple points
Raw, DON'T YOU DARE JUST KEEP QUIET!!! I'll be damned if I'm going try to be or even want to be some tin horned tirant that squashes dissent. You got something on your mind, spit it out darn it (Some things I may prefer to be said in private but don't anyone ever think I don't want to hear it).
As to the rest, yep, it's all a matter of choice. Yes I create the software and sure someday I would love to make enough from it Gehoo and I could work on it full time, but I'm not going to be a jerk about it. It's about community, where the community goes is really up to you all. I can encourage certain behavior, but I would never presume to dictate anything, even if I could. |

yes, i certainly think there are some crossed wires here, nobodies ordering anyone to do anything, we all have the same goal, to keep manor alive, it just makes sense to keep up to date with anything new on here.
my two cents worth

I feel the 'Home Manor' list is ...
USELESS visual CLUTTER
lean your head back and try to decipher The Manor's listing.
perhaps a take it out toggle on a manor basis to accommodate those that want it. _________________ RL..now with 100% less lag! |
