Just posted Windows Beta 2 on the software page. Think I've finally solved the issues on Vista and 7 with the registry not getting updated to make the directory links work.

At least partly. If the image is already properly sized it shouldn't get blurred. There are some real issues with pasting images in at least on the Mac. |

Hello Scotsman.
I have been having issues with my manor since long ago, since the 1 version it took about 3 minutes to start, so I upgraded it with the last version but it is worst now, it took about 5 minutes to start, and it uses all the cpu resources, I cant do anything else, then when it start it give the error 50 so I need to close and reopen, ok this time it took shorter time to start, and when I land in manor and try to do something and play music it gave me this message in the log
.GIGI©®op «Åл: song 199
*** Error 32 (The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another
process.
) Downloading file
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "plugins\lib\manor.py", line 147, in playSound
return mnr.playSound(mnrenv, sound)
RuntimeError: Failed to play sound
And crashed me so I start again manor, I can do more things and I can play the music I asked before
----- Sun, July 25 10:29pm ------
You now have Lord privileges
.GIGI©®op «Åл given Lord privileges
Sorry, there is already a shortcut in this manor for 'gate'
Delete it by saying 'roomhop delete gate' first to add this one.
.GIGI©®op «Åл: song 199
But later I want to play another song and I got this error
------ Sun, July 25 10:34pm ------
.GIGI©®op «Åл: song 240
*** Error 32 (The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another
process.
) Downloading file
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "plugins\lib\manor.py", line 147, in playSound
return mnr.playSound(mnrenv, sound)
RuntimeError: Failed to play sound
So after I close and restart manor like 7 times it get it working normal again and I can do what I want, play music, edit props etc.
I have a Toshiba with windows xp, service pack 3, dual core 350gb in hd and 2 gb in ram.
Is anything I can do to fix the problem?
I also would like to ask if we can have something like this for all manors
http://www.openpalace.org/demo/
so ppl. can come over and take a look what manor is without paying and maybe then they will be willing to stay. _________________ .GIGIøp |

If you have your cache set large (>100m) that could have something to do with the slow startup. The larger the cache is, the more files it can contain, and the longer it takes to index at startup.

This looks like either the file on the server has an issue, or you've gotten a bad copy in your cache. Try clearing the cache and then playing the song again. If it still has issues, I will need to take a closer look at the music file itself.
As to that flash thing, that's what the java client is about once get python support into it. There are some issues with it being unsigned aswell I'm not sure what to do about. If I could find info on writing flash without paying Adobe hundreds of dollars I might consider that route instead. |
