Over the last 24 hours, more users were found to be at risk from programs that exploit the vulnerability, a flaw in the Windows Meta File (WMF) code area of the operating system. Affects all Windows back to 3.1

Microsoft has been slow to respond to the vulnerability.

F-secure and the SANS Institute are suggesting users download the fix posted on the web site of an independent Windows expert, Ilfak Guilfanov.

The checker and patch are available at hexblog.
