Question and suggestion about managing the 'Home Manor of' section at the Manor Directory.
Question: Why can people add themselfs to the 'Home Manor of' section? I think a person should first ask the owner if that manor can be his/hers/its home manor.
Suggestion: Handle that section via the clients Server Console, that way it's up to the owner if a person will be a citizen or not and the owner can edit the list. _________________ -Lisa- |

Perhaps something like a user could request to be added to the home manor, and the server owner could approve or deny. That'll give both sides a choice in the matter. |

The intent of the home manor was to be a way people could let others know where they are most likely to be found, until I get the online status in the friends lists tied into the client.
The tricky part with implementing a request/accept structure is determining who has the authority to accept as the forums have no idea who the site owner is. In the case of registered sites (i.e. platinum etc) I could cross reference with the customer DB, but for the others I'm going to have to think of something. |

Perhaps a slight addition to the server control panel to specify the owner's name/handle? |

Also the issue without the Owners having
some control if a Member is forced to leave at
some point due to Drama or what ever they still
Show unless they deside to change it and they never
do _________________ Im Not Lost. I know im on Earth

I totally agree with above posts....some kind of owner control has to be implemented. Some of those listed at my manor .... uh... I dunno who they are, and nobody does lol.
And LF has a good point... people leaving manor in general or a manor in particular... owner should have a possibility to control who is listed in "home manor of".
Personally I don't find it especially promotional for my idea about my manor that some one called say... "/#¤)#/hot licky licky chick#(#/#=78" is turning up as member lol
