I would love to see a pull down menu like in Palace for linking rooms. I find that it takes a long time when I have to keep referring to the conf. for room numbers etc. Perhaps a flippy thing, to say if it's a room link or a weblink.

Anything would be better. Heck, I still have't figured out how to link rooms. Smart Spots was a wonderful idea. How about an easier way now to go to a room. _________________ -Erik "Rhonk" Arnson |

How about using the room list?
Since all will show when you're in Room Edit mode, a click would move that target room to the destination line. We tend to know our rooms by name wheras the RE wants room ID.
Or when in admin show ID along side Name in Room List. _________________ RL..now with 100% less lag! |

Rhonk,
Linking rooms isn't that hard...all you need to know is the ID of the room where you want to link to. Type that number in the Destination field in the Room Editor and voila.
With a bit of luck you will have a 2 room Manor soon. _________________ -Lisa- |

I have found that writing each room as it is created into a note book along with the room number makes life a lot easier when linking rooms it also gives one a hard copy and facilatates planing what you will end up with is a map of your manor.
Bri's Idea/suggestion is sound room list with room numbers ..goodbye note book smiles _________________ Be W/well be S/safe |

These are great ideas for now... I was just hoping to see some more "builder friendly" things added in future builds. *S* |

That's the purpose here Cher. If Scotsman doesn't get feedback he wouldn't know what to add or change.
I use Lisa's Manor Editor when I build for the 'room ID/ name' list and it’s Python / XML GUI window.
You are welcome to it should you want to try it. It's an external online editor thru port 21
Another non geekette method is to create a builder's ref text file from your conf and add notes. ala

Just so nobody thinks otherwise, yep I'm listening
I'm leaning toward a popup menu rather than using the room list because then can include the links from your favorites menu aswell. |
